David Yarrow concludes Maddox Gallery exhibition

Photographer David Yarrow wraps up his widely praised exhibition at London’s Maddox Gallery.

Late last year, David Yarrow returned to London’s prestigious Maddox Gallery with his latest exhibition. The collection of stunning photographic images, titled Changing Lanes, showcased Yarrow’s ever-growing breadth and variety of works. The show, which has since wrapped up, kicked off on Friday the 19th of November 2021 and concluded on Wednesday the 5th of January 2022.

David Yarrow is considered among the world’s most collectible contemporary photographic artists. The fine art photographer, philanthropist, and conservationist marked the opening of his breathtaking Changing Lanes exhibition at Maddox Gallery with a special book signing. Coupled with a series of talks about his latest body of work, three signings were held on Saturday the 20th of November last year.

A limited number of books were made available to interested parties from the gallery. Fast-forward a little over six weeks, and the critically acclaimed exhibition has now moved on from Maddox Gallery, but not before attracting countless rave reviews.

David Yarrow’s ‘Changing Lanes’ at Maddox Gallery, London is an exhibition created to make you dream, curated to take you on a visual journey as you trespass territories and come face-to-face with beasts,” says Imogen Clark, the deputy managing editor at luxury lifestyle magazine Glass, for example. “It’s one not to miss,” she went on in a glowing review and accompanying piece first published on Friday the 26th of November 2021, after herself having attended the show.

Founded in 2015, Maddox Gallery has rapidly established itself as a powerhouse within the international contemporary and modern art world. With five locations across London, England; Gstaad, Switzerland; and the Californian city of Los Angeles, United States, Maddox Gallery is famed for showcasing many of the world’s most respected artists, including Glasgow-born and London-based British photographer David Yarrow.

“Within the traditional world of art, Maddox Gallery stands out as a dynamic and innovative brand with a deep passion for the thriving contemporary and modern art market,” says a representative for Yarrow’s West London-headquartered firm, now in operation for almost a decade.

Maddox Gallery has previously exhibited work from established and emerging artists, including David Yarrow, Franklyn, and Brendan Connor, Bradley Theodore, Joseph Klibansky, and Marquis Lewis. It’s also proudly displayed works by internationally renowned figures such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and pseudonymous street artist Banksy since first opening its doors seven years ago.

Maddox Gallery London is situated in trendy Notting Hill, an area in the city’s west. Located across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the City of Westminster, Notting Hill is celebrated as a cosmopolitan and multicultural hub. The area, famed for serving as the locale for the 1999 Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant romantic comedy of the same name, has now long been associated with artists, going back as far as the 1870s.

The recently concluded Changing Lanes event at Maddox Gallery marked a much-anticipated return to Notting Hill and Maddox Gallery’s Westbourne Grove location for David Yarrow. The photographer had previously exhibited at the venue on at least one other occasion.
